🌩 August Topic: SKYWARN & Emergency Preparedness

As we enter the peak of hurricane season, it’s more important than ever for amateur radio operators to stay informed and ready to assist. This month’s meeting will focus on SKYWARN and how hams can play a vital role during severe weather events and other emergencies.

🎙 Mark Goddard, KN4KRZ
Mark will be sharing his expertise on SKYWARN, the National Weather Service program that trains volunteers to provide real-time reports of severe weather. You’ll learn about how to become a SKYWARN spotter, what equipment and practices are essential during emergencies, and how we as a club can coordinate to support our community when it matters most.
