Q: Can anyone enter the competition?

A: Yes. The competition portion is open to anyone with an interest in amateur radio, survival, or emergency preparedness.

Q: Can I bring a canopy or table/chairs for my exhibit?

A: Yes. These items will NOT be furnished. Each registrant must provide their own canopy, table, chairs, etc. as needed.

Q: Is there a registration fee to enter the competition?

A: No. Registration is free and we encourage everyone to come see all the Go-Kits that will be displayed.

Q: Is there a vendor fee if I want to set-up a booth as an exhibitor?

A: No. There is no vendor fee. We’d love to have more exhibitors for the event. We do request that exhibitor keep their booths related to ham radio, survival, and emergency preparedness.

Q: Do I need to register if I want to be an exhibitor rather than a competitor?

A: Yes. We would like everyone to register to let us know how many folks to plan in the area. It would also be nice since we may provide some coffee!

Q: Will there be a restroom nearby?

A: At this time, we do not have access to a restroom. You’ll need to leave the immediate area to visit a local business when nature calls.

Q: If I’m late setting up my station, can I still compete?

A: The early bird gets the worm! If you’re late, it will be judges’ discretion on whether you’ll be allowed to complete set-up.

Q: If I need more than an hour to set-up my station, can I come early?

A: Yes. If you need additional time, please arrive earlier so we don’t have to delay the judges.

Q: Who are the judges?

A: It’s a surprise! But we will tell you that our current judge’s panel includes THE Roger after whom Roger’s Workshop was named, a survival expert, and ARRL representative.

Registration is ONLY for competitors planning to enter the competition. If you are just attending as a spectator, you DO NOT need to register.
