CARC Picnic

August 19, 2017 all-day
Weston Lake

On Aug 19, 2017 0900 the Columbia Amateur Radio Club will host the annual picnic at Weston Lake. The theme is “Home Coming,” so if you are old or new to ham radio come for a great time and fun activities.

Weston Lake has covered shelters with picnic tables to fit our group. Come and enjoy your own reserved area to get a little shade and enjoy the fun of ham radio. Don’t forget to bring your funniest stories and all the war stories that come with our hobby. Come and visit with past presidents and their families. Bring your radio and antenna to make QSOs.

Looking to beat the heat by getting wet? Check out the swimming beach open Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. Play a little sand volleyball or climb around on one of the playgrounds. There are tons of areas to visit.

The club will provide hamburgers and hot dogs. Along with your RSVP, bring a side dish that’s enough for you and others. Those who can’t cook, (just kidding) bring desserts. (we all like brownies). There is also free wi-fi.
