The Military Auxiliary Radio System will host this year’s Armed Forces Day Crossband Test, scheduled for May 11 2019

Basically last year there were about  10 to 15 military stations all transmitting on non amateur radio frequencies and you would listen on that frequency and then transmit to them on a amateur radio frequency that they were monitoring, thus the cross banding.  All were on HF frequencies. Good practice on HF cross banding.

Looking forward to this test again. Always seems to be a wrinkle in freq’s or emission mode which make it interesting to me. Biggest Radio day of the year for me.
